Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in the MOAA Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. All MOAA members living in the Fredericksburg, Stafford, Quantico and Dumfries areas are welcome to join. Contact Sully Sullivan, Chapter Secretary, at sullyr_sullivan@comcast.net to be added to the newsletter distribution list and receive a chapter membership application form. Chapter Activities

The Heritage Chapter holds 10 monthly meetings each year that normally include dinner and a guest speaker. A special Christmas party is held in December, usually shared with another MOAA Chapter. We are active participants in Virginia and National MOAA events such as Stormin' the Hill, The Chapter awards two $1000 scholarships to JROTC members in high schools located in our area. We support the activities of "The Blue Star Mothers" and participate in the Honor Flight Program at the Muesum of the U.S. Marine Corps at Quantico. General Information

Our Heritage Chapter meetings are also dinner meetings and are normally held on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 1830 hours. However, the monthly schedule may vary due to venue and speaker availability and are announced in the chapter newsletter and at chapter meetings. Please RSVP by Sunday prior to each event to attend. Time: Social - 1830-1900, Dinner – 1900-2030 Location: Globe and Laurel, Hwy 1, Stafford, VA Cost: Variable RSVP to Sully Sullivan : sullyr_sullivan@comcast.net Details to monthly meetings as well as copies of current news letters can be found on the Chapter Web site. http://www.moaaheritagechapter.net Please realize that your RSVP is a commitment to pay for the dinner. About Our Chapter

The Heritage Chapter was chartered in 2007. The HERITAGE Chapter serves all of the following Zip codes: Stafford Counties(22403, 22405, 22406, 22554, 22556, 22555, 22470) - - Spotsylvania Counties (22407, 22408, 22551, 22553) - - City of Fredricksburg (22401,22402, 22404) - - Millwood, and Woodford zip codes in Caroline County and the Quantico (22134) - - Dumfries, Montclair (22024, 22026), and Triangle Zip Codes in Prince William County Bealton Zip Code in Fauquier County We are a relatively new Chapter with approximately 75+ (50% growth from 2010) members supporting the miltary officer community through social and professional networking, education, promoting awareness of MOAA National, State and local initiatives and through community service locally and supporting our military troops.
