The mission of the Marin County, California Chapter of MOAA:
1) To benefit the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members and to support the efforts of our national MOAA organization in its work to protect and provide to military officers the rights and benefits earned by them in the service of the United States of America.
2) Work locally in the San Francisco Bay Area, California to assist military related groups.
3) Provide opportunities for military officers to join in friendship and camaraderie reminiscent of the times when they were active in military service.

The MOAA Chapter holds 12 meetings per year, (6 member lunch/chapter business meetings and 6 Board of Directors meetings).
Guest speaker share entertaining, thought provoking presentations at the luncheons with a Q&A period.
The MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national and State of California legislative agendas.
The Chapter is also active in supporting the State Veterans Council and County of Marin, California veterans' issues.

About Our Chapter
Founded in 1964/65, the Marin County, California Chapter of MOAA, celebrated its 50th year anniversary, it continues to serve active, retired, former military officers and their spouses in the North Bay Area of San Francisco. Current active membership is 92 unique, friendly, engaging individuals.
The chapter conducts regular member luncheon meetings six times per year including a summer picnic and formal December Christmas luncheon. We also assist and support local organizations related to the military, the Junior ROTC program, Fisher Houses Travis AFB, Marin Blue Star Moms and the Marin Veterans Service Office.
We enjoy the camaraderie of fellow officers, spouses and friends at our scheduled events.
