MOAA is the nation's largest and most influential association of military officers. It is an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization.
With about 370,000 members from every branch of service - including active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired, former officers, and their families - we are a powerful force speaking for a strong national defense and representing the interests of military officers at every stage of their careers.
MOAA's highest priority is providing first-class service to our members. We are the leading voice on compensation and benefit matters for all members of the military community. We provide expert advice and guidance to our members.
Information on Joining the Chapter
Membership is open to active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the following uniformed services: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Auxiliary memberships also are available for surviving spouses of deceased officers.
New Events 2012. Our next event will be an informal get together in the Lewiston/Clarkson area for a BBQ picnic, possible boat rides and generally a good time. We are looking at Freeman Creek Camp Ground or Dworshak. We will let everyone know when we have the exact time and place. If you have a preference or would just like to attend please contact us, we would all love to have you there.
The Palouse Chapter will present the MOAA Gold Bars for commissioning officers at all four ROTC programs in the local area, Washington State University (WSU) Army ROTC, University of Idaho (UofI) Army ROTC, the Navy ROTC from UofI/WSU and the Air Force ROTC from UofI/WSU. These events take place between now and early June 2012, if you would like to attend please contact one of us and will ensure you get the information you need.
We are always looking for other ways to have fun and get together as a group. This spring we will start meeting every other month or so at one of the local watering holes for music cocktails/drinks. As soon as we nail down the date and location I will post it on the message board here.
About Our Chapter
The Palouse Chapter supports the Palouse area of the great Pacific Northwest. Our members generally come from the Quad-cities area (Moscow, Pullman, Lewiston, Clarkston), but we welcome all interested individuals to participate in Palouse Chapter MOAA activities.
