Mission

The mission of the Rose Capital Chapter is to promote the purposes and objectives of MOAA; develop relations among and protect the rights of uniformed service members of the military, including their dependents and survivors; provide useful services for members and their dependents and survivors; and serve the community and the nation.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Rose Capital Chapter membership is available to those who are serving or have served on active duty or in one of the National Guard or Reserve components as a commissioned or warrant officer in one of the seven U.S. uniformed services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Public Health Service) as well as the spouses of deceased eligible members. Annual membership cost is $20.00 for regular or $10.00 for auxiliary members. For more information contact the chapter’s membership chairman.

Chapter Activities

The chapter has six dinner meetings which feature either a guest speaker or entertainment suitable to the interests of the membership. Additionally, the chapter holds ladies luncheons and breakfast socials in the intervening months to provide a variety of events for all members. The chapter’s annual events include a Bingo Night, a garage sale fundraiser and a Christmas program. The chapter also sponsors the local JROTC and Welcome Home Solider programs, and serves as the MOAA sponsor for community events promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and other recognized organizations.

Legislative Issues

The Rose Capital Chapter strives to be a powerful voice supporting the MOAA legislative agenda at local, state and national levels. Additionally, the chapter continues to strength its interface with national and state legislators on military community issues. Also, the chapter works to provide strong support to the Texas Council of Chapters on matters important to Texas military members.
